68th Independence Day of India was organized by Krishnanagar Centre for Social Studies & Research at Busti area of Ricksaw pullers of Dum Dum Station. In the morning National Flag was hoisted and then a cultural programme held with the help of Ricksaw pullers and other people. A quiz contest amongst the Ricksaw pullers & Busti dwellers was held. Prozes were given to the winners. The children of Busti who do not go to school, regime education in time. The president of Society appeal them to sent them school. In the function all the attended persons were given cloths, tifin etc from N.G.O’s end. The function ended with speech & thanks by the President of the Society.
