KCSSR has so far conducted Field RESEARCH work with folk artists in 10 districts of West Bengal. In that context, cultural programs and workshops have been held every year with folk artists. Regular KCSSR programs are conducted in Nadia district, Birbhum district and Sundarbans area.
A folk artist conference and cultural program and workshop has been held at Kirnahar in Birbhum district in a joint venture with the local panchayat.
Every year KCSSR conducts folk artist conferences and cultural events and workshops in Kakdwip of Sundarbans.
Folk artist conferences, workshops and cultural programs have been held at Madhabpur, Chapra and Sutia in Nadia district.
KCSSR has given the “Dinendra Award” nominated by eminent folk culture expert Dinendra Chowdhury for 3 years.
KCSSR has 4 officers doing service work on folk culture as well as publishing 12 research books and 2 have obtained doctorate degrees by doing research at university level. This is a great achievement for KCSSR.
